A question about crime in Fable:The Lost Chapters?

I slaughtered every single person in Knothole Glade and Snowspire Village, and bought and rented out all their homes. Now every one hates me and runs away in terror. My alignment is 100% good as well as my attractiveness. I have no bounty and I have waited about 10 in game days for the villagers to forget about my crimes, but they don't seem to care. Is there any way I can redeem myself?
