Why would a pastor accuse me of "trying to serve both God & Mammon"if I say that a Bible-believing Christian..?

Most rational Christians (those who AREN'T Fundamentalist) see Genesis as being a book that explains how God and man became seperated through sin--and regard the Adam and Eve story as being allegorical. It is the INTENT and the CONTENT of the message that is important and not the "dialogue" of the story that is relevant.
