Please help me!!!!?

there is this guy, and we used to talk all of the time and we gave eachother our cell phone numbers. Well we talked a lot. Then my friends said i should ask him out so all of my friends asked him out for me and he said he doest really want a girlfriend and im 1 year younger than him. Now when i see him we dont even look at eachother and it is soooo awkward and i dont know what to do! im afraid if i say hi i will freeze up and make a fool out of myself. I just wish we could be friends again!! please help!!!
